Seaside Rhythms – "Dialogue. Everywhere." Inclusive Guided Tour

Explore tactile maps to build an imaginative sense of the city, and listen to local residents share fond childhood memories of neighborhood corners. City walking tours can be a gentle, multi-sensory experience, allowing everyone—regardless of different abilities or limitations—to savor the warmth and diversity of the community.

Southern District Route Overview:
Beyond Vision International and local residents co-lead this reimagined, multi-sensory guided tour featuring tactile maps, offering an inclusive, unique, and heartfelt community experience accessible to everyone—including people with visual impairments.

Led by visually impaired tour guides, we slow our pace to traverse streets we thought we knew, engaging our senses of touch, hearing, and smell to uncover stories waiting to be asked about—just like visiting a museum, exploring our city with care and curiosity.

By walking through the Ap Lei Chau and Aberdeen communities, discover and learn the stories of local neighborhoods and small businesses, explore the unique charm of the Southern District, and experience the life and culture of the fishing community.
