【Special Session】"Guiding. Anywhere" Inclusive Guided Tour: Exploring the City with Visually Impaired Guides (Southern District) and Sharing Session

Explore tactile maps to build urban imagination, and listen to neighbors tell interesting childhood anecdotes from street corners. City tours can actually be a gentle multi-sensory feast, allowing everyone, regardless of their different abilities and limitations, to savor the community spirit and its rich diversity.

Southern District Route Introduction:
Beyond Vision International and Kai Fong (local residents) lead the way, redesigning community tours with multi-sensory elements and tactile maps, presenting this inclusive, unique, and genuine community experience to everyone – including visually impaired individuals.

Under the guidance of visually impaired tour guides, let's slow down, wander through familiar streets, use our sense of touch, hearing, and smell, and explore stories waiting to be discovered, meticulously and curiously exploring our city as if visiting a museum.

By walking through the Ap Lei Chau and Aberdeen communities, discover and understand the stories of the area and its small shops, explore the unique charm of the Southern District, and experience the fishing community's way of life.
