"Dian Bo. Every Where" Inclusive Guided Tour: Exploring the City with Visually Impaired Guides (Southern District)

Discover tactile maps to build an image of the city, and listen to local residents share childhood memories of neighborhood corners. City tours can be a gentle, multi-sensory experience—embracing our diverse abilities and limitations, allowing everyone to savor the warmth and vibrancy of the community.

Introduction to the Southern District Route:
Co-organized by Beyond Vision International and local residents, this reimagined community tour uses multi-sensory exploration and tactile maps to offer an inclusive, unique, and heartfelt experience accessible to everyone—including people with visual impairments.

Led by visually impaired guides, we'll slow down and walk through familiar streets, engaging our senses of touch, hearing, and smell to uncover stories waiting to be questioned. Like visiting a museum, we’ll explore our city carefully and curiously.

Walking through the Ap Lei Chau and Aberdeen neighborhoods, participants will discover and learn about local stories and small businesses, explore the unique charm of the Southern District, and experience the fishing community’s culture and lifestyle.
