Terms and Conditions

******All tents are limited to four occupants only*****

• • Once the booking is confirmed, all changes/cancellation procedures will be handled according to the accommodation's cancellation policy and inclement weather arrangements. Please read the cancellation policy and inclement weather arrangements carefully first.
  • Latest check-in time is 6:00pm; earliest check-out time is 9:30am.
    If check-in/check-out arrangements before/after the specified service times are required (e.g., check-in after 6:00pm / check-out before 9:30am), you must notify the booking department in advance for arrangements. If check-in or check-out procedures are not completed, the paid rental deposit will not be refunded.
  • If early check-in or late check-out is required, you must notify the booking department/guest services center in advance, and the campsite will handle it based on the actual situation. Early check-in or late check-out requires payment of $500 per hour per camp as day camp fee according to camp type (less than one hour counted as one hour).
  • A rental security deposit of $500 (cash only) is required upon check-in.
  • The applicant for renting campsites/facilities must be at least 18 years old. For bookings under an individual's name, the customer must present valid ID documents or passport for verification.
    Failure to present valid adult ID documents will result in denial of check-in/facility use, and waiver of rights to refunds or compensation.
  • Please always supervise and care for accompanying children and elderly to ensure their safety. Guests under 11 must be accompanied by a guest aged 16 or above to enter the campsite. Children under 7 must be accompanied by a guest aged 16 or above when participating in activities or using facilities.

• Rental Security Deposit:
  Customers are responsible for any damage or destruction to campsite facilities caused by accompanying campers, guests, employees, agents, and contractors, including but not limited to damage, soiling, or loss to any camping equipment, furniture, lighting, devices, activity/sports gear, lawns, plants, or fences. Customers must fully compensate for any costs arising from replacement, repair, cleaning, and damage.
  Campsite and venue rental customers must pay the security deposit in cash before check-in/venue use. This amount will be refunded upon check-out/venue vacating (after deducting any applicable compensation). If the deposit is insufficient for compensation, customers must pay additional compensation fees.

  Security Checks
  At the campsite entrance or any necessary locations, guests' personal items may be subject to security checks. Additionally, campsite management reserves the right to refuse entry of any handbags, packages, or other items into the campsite.
  
  The following items are prohibited from being brought into the venue:
  a. Dangerous, harmful, or any illegal substances.
  b. Any chemical or flammable items or devices.
  c. Wheeled recreational devices, including but not limited to skateboards, scooters, roller skates, inline skates, tricycles, and shoes with wheels (strollers, wheelchairs, and bicycles excepted).
  d. Pets (guide dogs for the blind excepted).
  e. Any kind of weapons, or any objects or toy guns that appear or resemble weapons.
  f. Glass containers (baby food and perfume containers excepted).
  
  Strictly prohibited activities in the venue:
  a. Selling or displaying any items or services for commercial purposes.
  b. Distributing or posting any printed materials or flyers without written permission from campsite management.
  c. Carving or graffiti.
  d. Unauthorized activities, parades, speeches, or other unauthorized public gatherings.
  e. Displaying any flags, banners, or slogans.
  f. Photography, videography, or any form of recording for non-personal use.
  g. Intentionally or negligently throwing or launching projectiles; or shooting with any gun, air gun, bow and arrow, slingshot, or other devices. (Except controlled devices or facilities provided by Sai Yuen)
  h. Model airplanes or other remote-controlled flying devices.
  i. Feeding any animals in the park, including aquariums, sheep, and birds, with feed not provided by the campsite.
  j. Privately setting up campfires, lighting candles, incense, fireworks, or open flames.
  k. Erecting poles, tracks, fences, poles, tents, stalls, brackets, buildings, or other structures without permission from campsite management.
  l. Setting up tents or camping equipment for camping activities without permission from campsite management.
  m. Any fundraising activities without permission (including charitable activities).
  n. Gambling.
  o. Any illegal activities, immoral, or inappropriate behavior.

  Photography, Videography, or Audio Recording
  a. Private photography and videography are permitted in the park. However, commercial photography requires prior approval from relevant departments. Unauthorized photography, videography, or recording for commercial broadcasting or transmission is strictly prohibited.
  b. Any media interviews conducted in the campsite must be pre-arranged.
  c. Campsite staff may photograph, video, record, or duplicate images and/or sounds of any persons entering Sai Yuen within the premises. Campsite management reserves the right to use such images and/or sounds for any purpose without paying any fees to those persons.

Inclement Weather Arrangements

1) If on the check-in day, Typhoon Signal No. 1, No. 3, or Amber, Red, Black Rainstorm Warning is issued, and New Ferry/transport services are provided as usual, the relevant accommodation check-in arrangements will proceed as normal.

2) If on the check-in day, No. 8 Gale or Storm Signal is issued, the following arrangements will apply:
a. If the Observatory announces it will be hoisted within two hours, the accommodation will be rescheduled to an equivalent value check-in date, but the rescheduled date must be confirmed within 7 days.

b. If the signal is lowered before 7:00 am, the accommodation arrangements will continue as normal.

c. If the Observatory announces it will be hoisted within two hours (applicable only to customers who have already checked in), the campsite will close. For safety reasons, customers will be required to leave, and paid camp fees will not be refunded.
Customers may apply for one rescheduling within 7 days from the original booking date; the selected date must be within 60 days from the original date. Failure to confirm within 7 days will be considered automatic waiver, and paid fees will not be refunded. In case of any dispute, Holimood reserves the final decision.
