Terms and Conditions

• • Once the booking is confirmed, all changes/cancellation procedures will be handled in accordance with the accommodation's cancellation policy and bad weather arrangements. Please read the cancellation policy and bad weather arrangements carefully first.
  • Latest check-in time is 6:00pm, earliest check-out time is 9:30am.
    If check-in/check-out before/after the specified service time is required: such as check-in after 6:00pm / check-out before 9:30am, must notify the Booking Department in advance to arrange. If check-in or check-out procedures are not completed, the paid rental deposit will not be refunded.
  • If early check-in or late check-out is required, must notify the Booking Department/Customer Service Center in advance, and the campsite will handle it based on actual circumstances. For early check-in or late check-out, an hourly day camp fee of $500 per camp per hour must be paid according to the camp type (less than one hour is counted as one hour).
  • Each camp must pay a rental security deposit of $500 upon check-in (cash only).
  • The applicant for renting camp facilities/venues must be at least 18 years old. For bookings under an individual's name, the customer needs to present valid identification documents or passport for verification.
    Failure to present valid adult identification documents will result in denial of check-in / use of the venue, and waiver of the right to refund or compensation.
  • Please always take care of and supervise accompanying children and elderly to ensure their safety. Guests under 11 years old must be accompanied by a guest aged 16 or above to enter the campsite. When participating in activities or climbing facilities, children under 7 years old must be accompanied by a guest aged 16 or above.

  Rental Security Deposit:
  Customers are responsible for any damage or destruction to campsite facilities caused by accompanying campers, guests, employees, agents, and contractors, including but not limited to damage, soiling, or loss to any camp equipment, furniture, lighting, fixtures, activity/sports gear, lawns, plants, or fences at the campsite. Customers must compensate for any replacement, repair, cleaning, and costs incurred from damage at full price.
  Camp facility/venue rental customers must pay the security deposit in cash before check-in/venue use. This amount will be refunded to the customer upon check-out/venue vacating (after deducting any compensation if applicable). If the deposit is insufficient to cover compensation, the customer must pay additional compensation.

  Security Checks
  At the campsite entrance or any necessary locations, guests' personal belongings may be subject to security checks. Additionally, the campsite management
  reserves the right to refuse guests from bringing any handbags, packages, or other items into the campsite.
  
  The following items are prohibited from being brought into the venue:
  a. Dangerous, harmful, or any illegal substances.
  b. Any chemical or flammable items or setups.
  c. Wheeled recreational devices, including but not limited to skateboards, scooters, roller skates, inline skates, tricycles, and shoes with wheels (strollers, wheelchairs, and bicycles excepted).
  d. Pets (guide dogs for the blind excepted).
  e. Any type of weapons, or any objects or toy guns that appear or give the impression of weapons.
  f. Glass containers (baby food and perfume containers excepted).
  
  The following activities are strictly prohibited within the venue:
  a. Selling or displaying any items or services for sales purposes.
  b. Distributing or posting any printed materials or flyers without written permission from campsite management.
  c. Carving or graffiti.
  d. Unauthorized activities, parades, speeches, and other unauthorized public gatherings.
  e. Displaying any flags, banners, or other slogans.
  f. Photography, videography, or any form of recording for non-personal use.
  g. Intentionally or negligently throwing or launching any projectiles; or shooting with any guns, air guns, bows, slingshots, or other devices. (Controlled devices or facilities provided by Sai Yuen excepted)
  h. Model airplanes or other remote-controlled flying devices.
  i. Feeding any animals in the garden with non-campsite-provided feed, including aquatic life, sheep, and birds.
  j. Privately setting up campfires, lighting candles, incense, fireworks, or open flames.
  k. Erecting poles, rails, fences, rods, tents, stalls, brackets, buildings, or other structures without permission from campsite management.
  l. Setting up tents or camp equipment for camping activities without permission from campsite management.
  m. Any unauthorized fundraising activities (including those of a charitable nature).
  n. Gambling.
  o. Any illegal activities, immoral, or inappropriate behavior.

  Photography, Videography, or Audio Recording
  a. Private photography and videography are permitted within the park. However, photography for commercial purposes must obtain prior approval from the relevant department. Unauthorized photography, videography, or recording for commercial broadcasting or transmission is strictly prohibited.
  b. Any media interviews conducted within the campsite must be pre-arranged.
  c. Campsite staff may photograph, video, record, or duplicate images and/or sounds of any persons entering Sai Yuen within the campsite premises. Campsite management reserves the right to use such images and/or sounds for any purpose without paying any fees to those persons.

Bad Weather Arrangements

1) If Typhoon Signal No. 1 or No. 3 or Amber, Red, Black Rainstorm Warning is issued on the check-in date, and the new ferry/transport services operate as usual, the relevant accommodation check-in arrangements will proceed as normal.

2) If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is issued on the check-in date, the following arrangements will apply:
a. If the Observatory announces it will be hoisted within two hours, the accommodation arrangement will be rescheduled to an equivalent value check-in date, which must be confirmed within 7 days.

b. If the signal is lowered before 7:00am, the accommodation arrangement will proceed as normal.

c. If the Observatory announces it will be hoisted within two hours (applicable only to customers who have already checked in), the campsite will close. For safety reasons, customers will be required to leave, and paid camp fees will not be refunded.
Customers may apply for one rescheduling within 7 days from the original booking date, and the selected date must be within 60 days from the original booking date; failure to confirm within 7 days will be considered as automatic waiver, and paid fees will not be refunded. In case of any disputes, Holimood reserves the final decision.
